Development of the Circularity in Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging Accelerator (CiPPPA)

TDi Sustainability partnered with organisations from the pharmaceutical industry to develop the Circularity in Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging Accelerator (CiPPPA) initiative.  This multi-stakeholder initiative brings together organisations across the industry in a pre-competitive space to address challenges and promote sustainable circular solutions in the pharmaceutical packaging industry.

TDi drove the development of CiPPPA, and is now its Project Management Office, leading the initiative in its mission to identify and prioritise existing sustainable initiatives and develop scalable practical solutions for increasing the circularity of primary pharmaceutical packaging.

The TDi team works closely with CiPPPA’s three Action Task Forces to conduct gap analyses, provide recommendations, and support the development of specific responsible sourcing policies and tools to manage potential risks in the value chain. With the support of TDi, CiPPPA aims toeffective change in the pharmaceutical packaging industry by fostering collaboration, promoting responsible sourcing, and advocating for sustainable circular solutions
