
Community engagement and capacity building in Chile
TDi was asked by a mining company to:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the mine’s current practices in engaging with local communities and obtaining Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC)
- Identify areas/aspects of the project that may be influenced by communities.
- Enhance the capacity, capability, and knowledge of mine staff regarding FPIC
- Develop an engagement and communication plan specifically tailored for the project.
