Facilitating the decision-making process on circularity for an aerospace company
TDi was asked to provide technical expertise to a major aerospace company to determine materiality and facilitate the decision making process on the definition of a circular approach within the company.
This included refining the company’s methodology to identify critical and strategic raw materials and associated supply chain resiliency – scarcity, concentration, substitutability, geopolitical exposure and commercial dependence, and ESG risks. TDi was then tasked with identifying strategies for mitigating risks and leveraging opportunities, and enhancing the capability and knowledge of internal staff around critical and strategic raw materials.
TDi’s deliverables included:
- Baseline and gap analysis of critical and strategic raw material management
- Benchmark of peer company circularity strategies
- Material factsheets and risk and opportunity use cases
- Development of supply chain engagement and resilience strategies
- Regulatory impact analysis
- Upskilling and awareness sessions for internal teams, supporting cross-functional alignment
