Identification and mitigation of supply chain risks for a leading cosmetics company
TDi Sustainability has worked with a leading cosmetics, haircare and perfume company over several years to identify and mitigate risks within its supply chains – following the OECD’s Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Afflicted and High Risk Areas.
- We developed a Responsible Minerals Supply Chains Policy for the company at a group level and a criticality assessment methodology for its key mineral feedstocks. We then carried out a criticality assessment – developing a matrix of sustainability risk for each mineral.
- We worked with the company to develop supplier engagement tools including self assessment questionnaires to analyse ESG risks in relevant geographies for these critical minerals – helping to increase visibility within its supply chains
- We then developed recommendations, guidance and implementation checklists for the company’s suppliers – guiding them towards mitigation of the risks identified
