Equitable Origin and TDi supported a multi-national mining company in integrating a rights-based approach to Indigenous engagement and Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) in their internal management systems.

This included:

  • Reviewing internal policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Facilitating a series of workshops to build internal capacity and align country teams on communication, implementation, and tracking
  • Incorporation of the FPIC-360° Tool indicators into the company’s engagement platform
  • Providing ongoing guidance and support to its community engagement teams.
