TDi Sustainability partners with Critical Minerals Innovation Forum in London

TDi Sustainability is an official partner of this year’s inaugural Critical Minerals Innovation Forum taking place 5th – 6th November in London. The event aims to connect stakeholders across the full critical mineral value chain, from mining, processing and refining to automotive, electronics and renewables sectors.

Assheton Stewart Carter, Executive Chair and Founder of TDi Sustainability, will moderate a roundtable discussion titled “Deep sea mining: What do we really know about the potential, the trade-offs and the impact?” This session will examine the complexities surrounding deep sea mining operations – particularly in relation to recent policy developments and environmental considerations. In 2022, TDi Sustainability authored a report for the World Economic Forum that provided a supply chain perspective on decision-making in deep sea mining. Assheton also recently commented on this deeply divisive subject in an article in The Guardian.

To find out more, watch out for our special edition Innovation Forum podcasts, coming soon, where our expert team and guests will address key topics to be discussed at the Critical Minerals Innovation Forum, including an episode dedicated to the mining of marine minerals.
