Development of a Sustainability Task Force for the NMA

TDi has collaborated with the National Mining Association (NMA) between 2020-present, to support the development of, and co-facilitate, a Sustainability Task Force. The purpose of the collaboration is to assist NMA members in exploring and advancing sustainability initiatives in their respective companies.

TDi’s knowledge of the sustainability space and their ability to connect us with key stakeholders has been invaluable in advancing our Sustainability Task Force. They have developed programmes and resources that have allowed our member companies to significantly advance their sustainability goals.

TDi’s impact and solutions

  • TDi is conducting a multi-year technical programme of diverse and knowledgeable speakers to inform and facilitate discussions on ESG issues within member companies – providing access to organisations not previously engaged with.
  • TDi has produced education resources for dozens of US mining companies on ESG best practices, norms, requirements and standards. Many companies have launched new ESG departments, staff roles, and implemented more ambitious ESG programs as a result.
  • TDi facilitates collaboration among diverse members to create and publish position statements adapted by all members.
