Supporting ASM Engagement for a Large-Scale Gold Project in Guinea
TDi was engaged to support a large-scale gold mining project in Guinea with its approach to artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) engagement.
Working alongside a local research team, TDi’s Jeannette Greven and Michael Hayek carried out desk research, ASM stakeholder mapping, and a series of group consultations and workshops with mining communities and other stakeholders.
The engagement draws on TDi’s broader track record helping large-scale operators navigate their social license to operate in complex upstream environments – including where they coexist with ASM communities.
