Michael is a Senior ESG Analyst at TDi Sustainability, based in Berlin, Germany. He has an extensive background in risk assessment, analysis, and risk management of mineral supply chains, with a particular focus on 3TG and cobalt. His expertise extends to designing material flows and implementing digital traceability solutions for conflict minerals (3Ts).
Michael began his career in responsible sourcing as an Analyst for the Better Mining Upstream Mechanism, where he collaborated with stakeholders across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, Madagascar, the UK, China,
France, and Germany. This experience provided him with in-depth knowledge of mineral supply chain traceability and due diligence, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and requirements at upstream, midstream, and downstream levels.
He has worked with a diverse range of clients, from mining operators to automotive manufacturers and exporters,
and across both public and private sectors. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the
University of Nice and a Master’s degree in International Security from Charles University in Prague. He is fluent in French, English, and Arabic and has lived in France, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
